Today was a evening filled with promises and talks of harvesting.
We had several new squirrels make their promises today so we took time to reflect on when we made our promises and what it means. We also reminded ourselves about the wider Scouting family.
Then we moved on to this evenings topic of harvest time.
We spoke about farmers collecting the crops and the origins of some of our favourite food like chips, bread and cheese. We mentioned machines like tractors and combines that help with this.
We then got into groups and made our own scarecrows. This was huge fun.
We then had time for a harvest scavenger hunt before the new squirrels made their promises and we gave out some more badges.
All this talk of yummy food made me hungry, see you next week.
