Today we discovered that you don’t need a cape or a mask to be a true hero!
We kicked off the day chatting about our favourite legends like the Hulk and Spider-Man, before talking “everyday superheroes” living right among us. The children were great at playing a guessing game to identify the vital jobs these heroes do—from nurses and farmers to police officers and teachers.
We explored the “superpowers” these people possess and discussed how we can be local heroes ourselves. We talked about how simple acts like being kind to a sad friend, sharing toys, or even helping out at home by tidying up our shoes can make a massive difference.
To continue our hero theme, we got creative and designed our own capes and characters. We then put our skills to the test with two games:
The Peg Challenge: we used pegs to guide our superheroes to the finish line.
Superhero Fly: we soared around the room, hoping our chosen hero wouldn’t be the one called out

It was great fun. See you all next week
