With the holidays and no Squirrels meetings this week, I thought it would be fun to revisit our overnight stay at Hesley Wood! It’s a great way for our newer Squirrels to see just how much fun we have on our nights away.
A Night of Fun and Film
On our first night, after everyone found their beds for the weekend, we enjoyed a delicious tea. Then, we headed to the park for some outdoor play before settling in for a film and popcorn. After a bit of chatting, the Squirrels were ready to settle down for the night.
A Day of Celebration
The next morning, we fueled up with a fantastic breakfast, ready for a busy day ahead. This camp was extra special because we joined a celebration day at Hesley Wood. After a parade, we had a jam-packed day of rides, inflatables, grass sledging, a toboggan run, and even axe throwing. There were ice creams and BBQs, plus plenty of coffee to keep us leaders going!
That evening, we played outside before another tasty meal. Everyone was so tired from the day’s excitement that it wasn’t long before lights out.
Heading Home
On Sunday, we packed up after breakfast, then made one last stop at the park and the shop before heading home.
What a fabulous weekend it was!
