Follow these instructions to set up your Microsoft 365 mailbox in the standard iOS Mail app

  1. Tap “Settings”
  2. Tap “Mail”
  3. Tap “Accounts”
  4. Tap “Add Account”
  5. Select “Microsoft Exchange”
  6. Enter your full Office 365 e-mail address
  7. Add description as “42nd Rotherham Scouts Email”
  8. Tap “Next”
  9. On the pop-up tap “Sign in” and then “Continue”
  10. Enter your password (On first sign-in you will be asked to choose a new password)
  11. Tap “Next”
  12. Wait a moment until your information has been verified
  • Select the services you want to synchronize with your iPhone or iPad and press Save
  • Open the Mail app on your phone to view your new e-mail account.

SAMSUNG

To add Microsoft 365 (Office 365) email to a Samsung device using the built-in Samsung Email app, open the app and select Menu > Settings > Add account.  Choose Office365 (or Corporate/Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync depending on your version), then enter your full email address and password. 

If the automatic setup fails, select Manual Setup and use the following server details:

  • Username: Your full Microsoft 365 email address
  • Password: Your Microsoft 365 email password
  • Server: outlook.office365.com
  • Domain\username: \ followed by your email address (e.g., \jane@example.com)
  • Security Type: TLS
  • Port: 587 for SMTP; 443 or 993 for incoming
